04 - Add trimmed asparagus to the skillet and sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until spears turn vibrant green and become just tender.
05 - Stir in lemon zest and fresh lemon juice; continue cooking for 1 additional minute to meld flavors.
06 - Season asparagus evenly with salt and freshly ground black pepper, tossing to distribute.
07 - Remove skillet from heat and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the asparagus. Toss gently until spears are evenly coated.
08 - Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with additional lemon zest and Parmesan shavings if desired. Serve immediately while hot.
