02 - Insert a lollipop stick or wooden skewer into each marshmallow, if desired, for ease of dipping.
03 - Combine the chopped chocolate and coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20-second increments, stirring thoroughly after each interval, until completely melted and smooth. Alternatively, melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of gently simmering water.
04 - Submerge each marshmallow halfway into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
05 - Immediately adorn the chocolate-coated portion with your preferred toppings.
06 - Position the dipped marshmallows onto the prepared baking sheet.
07 - Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes, or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until firm.
